Sambhar Masala

Step 1: Cook 100g pigeon peas (Toor Dal/ Arhar Dal) for 30min. Boil it with pieces of drumstick, bottle gourd, brinjal and onions.

Step 2: Add 2 tbsp of thick tamarind juice, Chilli powder and salt to taste. Add 1 tbsp of Richswad Sambhar Masala.

Step 3: For the Vaghar/ Tadka, heat 2 tsp oil, add 1 red chilli, 1/4 tsp fenugreek, 1/2 tsp mustard seeds, 2 sprigs of curry leaves and a pinch of asafoetida.

Step 4: Add Vaghar/Tadka to the mixture. Boil for 2 min. Serve hot with dosas/idlis/appams/uttapam for unbeatable taste.
